Gurry doubles up
Andrea Gurry (Nhill) doubled up at Horsham on Tuesday, taking out the last two races on the card with George’s Best and Perfect Tonight, while Garry George (Beulah) continued his winning ways when Brutality made it two on the bounce.
Brutality kicked it off for the locals, with the Garry George-trained speedster producing a powerful finish to claim victory. Missing the start, Brutality was forced to rail hard through the corner, improving her position to third on straightening for home, unleashing a monster finish. Brutality swept down the outside to claim victory in the shadows of the post, stopping the clock in 23:34sec.
Gurry then Doubled up in the last two races on the card. George’s Best positioned up second early, taking the lead, turning for home and skipping away, going home a comfortable two-length winner in 23:39sec. Perfect Tonight, then made it a running double for Gurry. Slow away, Perfect Tonight swept around the outside, turning for home in second position. He put the foot down in the straight and went away a comfortable winner in 23:36sec.
