This year, McIntyre has played 20 games and kicked 44 goals, and he has been among the best players on 19 occasions. He also played four games in the under-17s before they had to forfeit their team for the season, and he also represented the league in the Interleague match against the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League.

McIntyre described the feeling as unreal after the game.

"It's unreal. You don't take the best on too heavily as it's all a team effort," McIntyre said.

"The way we played today was different than every other week. We attacked it more, were a lot cleaner, and wanted it more, and that's what got us over the line."
